Nanny and Grandpa McCready

...After several visits to the hospital Nanny and Grandpa come to visit Olivia at her new home as well. They are very proud!!!

Images to bring you up-to-date!!!

Ok...sooo...it's gonna take me a few days to get the blog caught up and I'll do so mostly by posting pics for now...Here's just a few to start!!!

This is Daddy cuddling our beautiful daughter just before we were released from our 3 days stay at the hospital:
Here is our gorgeous Olivia Michelle not even 24 hours old. Sleeping beauty:
This is mom and babe...totally pooped from labor and delivery. That said, I still say it was the most amazing experience I have ever had (even with NO epidural)!!!
This is Olivia Michelle just minutes old. She joined our family on July 27, 2007 at 7:47 pm. She weighed 8lbs and 13 oz. She was very alert from the beginning:

An Apology to our Faithful Readers!!!

...No...We are not still 38 a weeks pregnant as our blog has suggested the last 3 months. For that we are very sorry!!!
You may have guessed we now have a beautiful addition to our family!!!
Olivia Michelle O'Neil joined Brad and I on July 27th, 2007 at 7:47pm. She weighed 8lbs and 13oz!!! Labor and Delivery went well for mom, dad, baby and grandparents (who were also there for the big event).
Olivia is the most amazing gift I (mom) could ever have been given and with her here now I certainly can't imagine our lives without her.
Mom, dad and Olivia are now in a bit of a routine which has made all parties much happier!!!
Olivia is 3 months old already and we can not believe how quickly the time is passing by. She has developed quite the personality over the last 3 months. Most recently she has started to really laugh which totally melts our hearts.
Unfortunately I can't post pictures right now, but as soon as we get the technical difficulties ironed out I promise to make up for it!!!
I will update the blog more regularly now and hope you all enjoy sharing in our life (again) ...and now with the star...Olivia.
'Till next time,
The O'Neil's

With mommy feeling huge at 38 weeks...and daddy having to put up with all mommy's complains ...we are eager to meet our little one who is due in about 2 weeks (July 24, 2007)!!!!

Here's mommy praying that things start happening ANY day now:

SOME OF THE CRITTERS WHO RESIDE
CHEZ O'NEIL
We haven't named him yet, but we do have a pet chipmunk who has grown on us. I think the feeling are mutual. He loves for us to give him nuts (which he now takes right from our hand) and well we love that he entertains us in the evenings by begging for his treats and then hurring away to hide them!!!!
Here is the Chipmunks hideaway!!! Gosh knows how elaborate this hole/tunnle is under our house!!!
This is the baby Robin that didn't quite catch on to the whole flying thing...BUT it's be a few weeks now and although his flying is not perfect he definitely has improved!!! Whenever he gets stumpped his mom and dad come to feed him and encourage him to try again!!!
Robins nest in the hedge. Two eggs...Still no babies!!! Can't wait for the new arrivals!!!!!

We also have a bunny who frequents our yard and seems used to us...but unfortunately i can't find one of the MANY picture that I am sure my husband has taken?!?!? Maybe in the next addition of "critters"!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS TO SUSAN AND LEO WHO WERE MARRIED ON JUNE 28, 2007

Another busy weekend!!!

The last two weekends have been pretty busy for us, which is great, since the busy factor SOMETIMES takes my mind off my big countdown!!!

The weekend before last:
Girls Night on Friday night...Had a few of my girls over to Chez O'Neil for a lovely potluck BBQ...Everyone brought a little something and my wonderful husband stuck around long enough to cook up some yummy burgers and sausages for us to eat!!! Luckily the weather held out for us (it was supposed to rain) which was great because we got to sit out on the deck and enjoy the yard, good food, drink and company...:)
Thanks Ladies for a wonderful time!!!

That Saturday was the first of two of our labor and delivery classes. To say the least I was LESS than impressed with the day so I won't expand on that...

On Sunday, Brad's Sister Kim, Aunt Dorothy and Cousin Rena threw me a little baby shower in anticipation of our little sweet pea!!! The shower was even themed "SWEAT PEA" which I thought was REALLY CUTE!!! Thanks to the 3 hostesses for a great event :) It also was a wonderful afternoon with good food, drink and company...Oh and of course LOTS of really cool gifts!!! Thank everyone for the great day and memories!!!

This past weekend...Also very busy:

On Friday night we headed out to Perth to watch Madison (Brad's goddaughter) perform in her very first dance recital!!! She was definitely a super-star and we totally enjoyed ourselves!!! Thanks Madison for entertaining us!!!

On Saturday we had the second (and last) of our labor and delivery classes. It definitely went better than the first class as in the information and exercises were a bit more useful...But to tell you the truth...I don't feel anymore prepared to give birth than I did before...just a whole lot more frightened!!!
Saturday evening we went down for a little walk and checked out WESTFEST!
Sunday was exciting for me as well...I finally got to check out UPPER CANADA VILLAGE!!! It was pretty cool and a beautiful day out!!! Thanks Hubby for taking me there and for the wonderful picnic lunch!!!

A nice relaxing long weekend!!!

This past weekend was Victoria day weekend for us Canadians...which means 3 days off!!! Ok, It has more meaning than that, but the bonus is a 3 day weekend!!!

First a belated blog wish to My MOM and DAD to say HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! Mama and Papa Light celebrated 32 years this year!!! And they were actually in the same country/state/town/room this year for their anniversary which is unusual!!! Although I haven't talked to them yet, I hear they were able to go on a little getaway and that they had a wonderful time!!!!

Also exciting news this weekend...The Ottawa Sens won against Buffalo!!! YAY!!! The ARE the Eastern conference CHAMPS and are headed to the Final round for the STANLEY CUP against the Anaheim Mighty Ducks...I think there first game is Monday, but I'm not too sure...

We relaxed most of the weekend, but did manage a bit of yard and outside work as well this weekend, so at least we did something productive!!!

Sunday we went to Aunt Kathy's and helped Abbie celebrate her birthday...followed by some good ol board games...FUNN FUNNN...AND happy birthday again Abbie...Her birthday is today!!! And of course THANKS to Aunt Kathy and Uncle Earl for having us out to eat and play :)

On Monday I once again felt as though I accomplished something very important...I found a dress to wear to an upcoming wedding that Brad and I will be attending. I know , I know...doesn't sound like much of an accomplishment, however the last several dresses I have tried on seriously look like we had dressed Shamu up for Halloween...NOT COOL...This one is actually really cute...so I am happy...

To relax after this big journey we headed over to Corinne and Al's and sat on the deck for a short visit...Well turned into an all afternoon visit, which worked out in our favor since the Mc-Papineau's were very kind to feed us supper :) THANKS!!!

Anywho..that is the complete nutshell update of the goin ons in the last couple of days...

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!!

A Mothers Love
To some love is just a word
To me it's a feeling
A feeling I get everytime I look into your eyes
A feeling I get when I realize your my mom
A mom who loves, shares,
A mom who inspiresUnconditionally
What's that?
That's love
A mothers love, but only you would knowAnd me
You returned that love time and time again
Possibly to much, nevertheless you did
Thank-youThank-you for being there when I needed you most
For being my rock when I should have been yours
Thank-you for believing in me, even when I doubted myself
For being the one person I could trustNo matter what, no matter where
But most of all thank-you for being you-my mom
A mom I am so proud to claim
I Love You now and forever

...SWEET PEA'S NURSERY!!!!

Well...it was a great weekend last weekend having Mama Light around and all!!! The main thing we accomplished was getting the main components of the nursery put together!!! Mama Light painted the walls for us a beautiful beige color (the used to be a beautiful sage ish green)...Brad installed the closet organizer and we all put together the crib and my new glider chair and ottoman!!! VERY EXCITING...As well I found a cute valence for the window which we also put up...
Now all we need is a few finishing touches (wall hangs etc) ... a few things to put in the closet and A BABY!!!! YAY!!!!

Here is the Glide Chair and Ottoman we chose!!! I totally LOVE it...and sit in it every night LOL...
Here is Sweet Peas Crib...He / she will LOVE it...Mommy and daddy finally figured out how to put the drop bar down thanks to Uncle Jason's demo!!!
Oh...here is mommy testing out the glider...AGAIN...29 weeks and 3 days pregnant....

***Will take more pictures of the nursery as things progress!!!!

Busy weekend!!!

Although the deck did not get stained (from what we understand it really is still a little early in the season to do this), Brad and I still had a very busy weekend!!!

Priming the nursery so that mama Light can paint for us this week, yard work yard work and more yard work, our normal weekend chores which included laundry...I ALSO took my new clothes line on its maiden voyage (FUN TIMES)...

That said it's not ALL work chez O'Neil...We did manage to watch the Sens (from our living room) win this last round of the playoffs on Saturday night. As well we were able to squeeze in a little dinner party on Sunday (after a weekend of hard work)...We thank Sheila and Craig, Corinne and Al and Abbie for coming over and trying out our new BBQ pork loin recipe :)

That's about it!!!

This week is only a 3day work week for me as Mama Light comes this weekend and we have very big plans to get the NURSERY ready and organized!!!!

Cheers,

...SPRING CLEANING...

There is sooooo much to do and so little time!!! Over the last couple weeks we have tackle bit by bit small things on our to do list...But there is still so much to do!!!

Yesterday in addition to some of the normal chores (vacuuming, mopping, dusting etc)...I decided that the windows needed to be cleaned as well!!! And boy did they ever...I got all the inside upstairs windows done last night, so now I just have to do the downstairs windows and hubby will have to tackle the outsides for me :)

Brad also mowed and raked the lawn for the first time this season...soon after he was done we notices 2 other neighbours doing the same...!

Things we will try to work on this weekend include, the lawn, the gardens and staining the deck (finally...If you recall, we intended to do this last summer)!!!

As well I am hoping to get the primmer up on the walls tonight for the nursery!!! My mama comes in just a couple days and the nursery is our BIG project while she is here!!!

Speaking of mama...I am VERY excited because Brad and I will BOTH have our mamas with us on Mothers day this year...!!! YAY!!!

Another project we'd like to tackle in the next weekend or two is to have our GARAGE SALE!!!! Finally we can rid some of crap that has been taking up space!!! You know what they say...Ones persons junk...another persons treasure!!! At least I THINK that is what they say?!?!?
